MEAN - The Digital Art Publishing House

OUR HISTORY: Between Société Art Numérique and MEAN, 20 years have passed.

Founded out of passion in 2019, the Digital Art Publishing House is above all oriented towards the creation of Fine Books. Our house supports passionate authors, collaborating with talented photographers, dealing with exciting subjects around Art and Culture where Morocco is often in the spotlight. Each book is designed as a story to tell, an area to discover, to explain. To highlight each theme, we design a graphic charter. We carry out the layout, the creation of the graphic charter and the cover as well as the research necessary to produce the book. Our authors are authentic, accessible people, their writing style clear, the English translation generally necessary to reach as many people as possible. Sometimes, we act as experts on projects to be edited and write the texts on behalf of the author.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Support authors in the realization of their projects, highlight their themes, and illustrate them with beautiful photographs or other works of art, paintings, sculptures or even drawings. Our goal is to tell a passion, a know-how, a story that the author wants to share.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Understand, preserve, transmit and especially Moroccan heritage. Give meaning to our culture, to our traditions. Make know-how known. Those we call artisans are often true artists who we want to make known to as many people as possible. Our goal is to publish not only authors, but also artists.

OUR COLLECTIONS

  • Art-books
  • Book-object
  • Art & Poetry
  • Novel Youth
  • Stationery Collections

OUR JOB

We serve authors & artists to express their passions and share their life stories. We are committed to each project to highlight it in substance and form. With our experience as a communications agency, we are present at each stage of the editorial process. We support the authors in structuring content and formatting, relying on our technical expertise (format, number of pages, choice of paper, embellishment finishes, shaping, packaging, etc.). Over the years, we have developed expertise in graphic design to advise you on typography, colors used, layout and cover.
We work in close collaboration with many partners in the publishing industry: editors, proofreaders, proofreaders, translators, illustrators, photographers, iconographers, graphic designers, stationers, computer graphics designers, printers and converters. Everyone has their own profession and the mastery of know-how to create books like objects of art which result from the work of a goldsmith and make you want to be leafed through.

Our job is to support you at each stage, to listen to you, to help you define your project as best as possible, to guide you if you wish.

Our Publishing House wants to give meaning to our culture, to our traditions. Preserve, explain, transmit, translate and more particularly Moroccan heritage; make know-how known. Those we call artisans are true artists who we want to make known to as many people as possible.

Digital Art Publishing House

A word from the Editor Myriem Chraïbi,

I was a banker in Paris… today I am an editor. Passion always trumps reason! I started publishing books and more particularly art books, books about encounters, journeys, stories, poetry…

A desire to create, to transmit, to understand, to share. Brief! The Digital Art Publishing House was born! MEAN, the name stands out to me as obvious, to give meaning, to know the origin of things, of words, to be interested in semantics, in our heritage, in traditions. Morocco always in the background, I seek to illustrate each of the themes addressed, with beautiful photographs, drawings or paintings which accompany the texts and poems. Thanks to my passion for photography and dance, I was able to both meet extraordinary artists and use my skills in my work in terms of aesthetics, harmony of colors and expression of my feminine singularity.

My experience as director of the Art Numérique communications agency for 20 years taught me that this work is carried out as a team, and that it is always a matter of meticulous know-how supported by the latest technologies. digital. Through all our collections, I can now express my own desires and listen to my creativity.

And then, this Publishing House is also the result of wonderful encounters, first with passionate people, authors and artists, but also with the techniques and materials that the Direct Print printing company sublimates.

I particularly thank Salima S. El Mandjra, Lamia Kadiri, Sandie Brischler, Fatma Chraïbi, Ahlam Chaieri, Houbaba Iraqui, Khadija Chraïbi-Skalli, Stéphanie Marieme and young authors such as Aïda and Rabei Benkiran, who are rich in lessons.

I thank them all for their trust!
